Good Food Thrive

Good Food Thrive - Malnutrition eradication project based on millet foods

Our Good Food Thrive is recognized as India’s first initiative dedicated to eradicating malnutrition through millet-based foods. This pioneering effort focuses on addressing the widespread issue of child malnutrition by providing nutrient-dense, millet-based meals to underprivileged children in government schools, orphanages, anganwadis, tribal regions, and other vulnerable areas.

Millets, known for their rich nutritional content, are central to the project’s strategy, offering a sustainable solution to malnutrition. The initiative not only delivers healthy meals but also promotes the long-term benefits of millet-based diets, aiming to improve the overall health and development of children nationwide.

In addition to its innovative approach, Good Food Thrive was honored with the Social Venture of the Year award at the prestigious International Nutri-Cereal Convention in Hyderabad, hosted by the Indian Institute of Millets Research (IIMR). This recognition underscores the project’s groundbreaking role in utilizing millets to combat malnutrition, marking a significant milestone in India’s fight against food insecurity and poor child nutrition.

By focusing on sustainable, millet-based nutrition, Good Food Thrive sets a new standard for tackling malnutrition in India, contributing to healthier futures for millions of children.
