Most of us who love reading cherish the time we spent as children in libraries scanning through books of various shapes and sizes with vivid covers and enticing titles.

Every book has a re-read value and somebody may need what you don’t. As the saying goes Knowledge shall set you free and books will bring knowledge.It is this simple thought which has motivated us to come up with such a project. Many NGOs working with children, in schools and colleges,or with the elderly, or the ill in hospitals and institutions, Orphanages and other charity homes need books of all kind for their inmates. On the other hand there are lot of books lying at homes or offices unread or read once. Most of them doesnot know what to do with them and most of it goes along with the waste paper.

Through Shade To Read project we are planning to fill this gap and trying to act as a facilitator in between the two. We would have major book donation drives at various places like offices, schools, Colleges, Apartments and other public places which would ensure more of a public participation for the book donation. Under the scheme we would set up state of the art libraries in NGO’s working with children,elderly people and other needy.This would be done upon considering the request from the institutions for the same.
